Greetings and a warm welcome to all. My name is Jose and I am a wildlife photographer from Quebec, Canada.
I've always enjoyed nature and the great outdoors. And I consider myself fortunate to live near several wonderful provincial parks which I love to explore. Over the years I've seen my interest in photography grow exponentially into a passion, some might even say an addiction. And despite dabbling in different subject matters, over time my undeniable love of nature has led me to concentrate almost exclusively on wildlife photography.
My passion is being out in the wilderness in the pursuit of that unique image which captures magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. On my spare time you may find me waiting countless hours in hope to see a feathered friend, or paddling on a lake at dawn alongside a marvelous loon, or out in a snow thick field on a cold winter day admiring magnificent snowy owls or better yet in the northern rain forest observing grizzlies roam the shoreline. So it should be no surprise that this website is exclusively dedicated to wildlife. And yes all my images were taken in the wild.
I am not a professional photographer, but it sure would be nice to do that some day. In the meantime, I am very lucky to have a day job and career which I equally love. I do admit though that I put in much time and effort in this so called "hobby" of mine. My perfectionist side keeps pushing me to want to take better images and my fascination in these wonderful creatures is endless.
Now having said all that, I sincerely wish I can convey to you through these images my love of nature and wildlife. And hopefully entice you to want to head out to explore nature with a camera in hand. More and more, our human footprint is unfortunately endangering many species and their natural habitat at an alarming rate. We need to be mindful of this in our everyday actions if our future generations are to have the same opportunities to marvel over natures wonders. To quote a Native American proverb which truly resonates in me ...
"We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children".
Hope you enjoy my portfolio and many thanks for stopping by.
Sincerely,
Jose
